Explicit pathway decision
Australia does not use one IMG route. Pathway4U first separates Standard, Competent Authority, Specialist, Expedited Specialist and Short-term Training pathways, then shows the evidence still needed before registration and employment.
Confirm your medical school, degree title and graduation year are eligible, then use your assessment history and specialist status to select the correct Medical Board pathway before paying an examination or college fee.
Do not assume that an MBBS/MD, a postgraduate specialty title or a visa skills assessment is itself Australian medical registration.
Why links sometimes fail
The answer remains here even if a regulator blocks a visit.
Some government sites block automated security checks, selected countries, or in-app browsers. PathProof keeps the requirement summary, publisher, verification date and full copyable address on this page. The official authority still makes the final decision.

Select the correct Medical Board pathway
Separate general-registration, competent-authority, specialist, expedited-specialist and short-term-training goals. The wrong selection changes the examinations, assessor and registration type.

Verify the medical school, degree and graduation year
Use the AMC eligibility checks for the exact primary qualification. A named MBBS or MD is not sufficient until the school, degree title and graduation year are eligible.

Create the AMC portfolio and complete primary-source verification
Prepare the primary medical qualification, identity, registration, internship and any specialist evidence through the channels named by the AMC and Ahpra.
https://www.amc.org.au/pathways/amc.org.au
Complete the assessment assigned to your selected branch
Standard applicants complete AMC CAT MCQ and then Clinical Examination or WBA. Competent Authority applicants prove category eligibility. Specialist applicants follow the accepted-list or college comparability route.
https://www.amc.org.au/pathways/standard-pathway/amc-assessments/ahpra.gov.au
Meet English, recency and criminal-history standards
Provide the evidence required by the current Medical Board/Ahpra standards; do not assume that an old test score or English-medium education route is accepted without checking its conditions.

Secure the right job, registration type and supervision plan
The job must fit the registration pathway. WBA and many provisional or limited registration routes require an approved position, supervision and sometimes a pre-employment structured clinical interview.
https://www.medicalboard.gov.au/Registration/International-Medical-Graduates/Supervision.aspxmedicalboard.gov.au
Complete supervised requirements and progress registration
Submit completion evidence and apply for the next registration type only after the Medical Board, employer and assessment body requirements are satisfied.

Keep registration, employment and immigration as separate approvals
Use the Australian immigration portal for the work/visa route and confirm employer sponsorship. An AMC or Medical Board outcome alone does not grant work authorization.
